Marco Citrini appointed Head of Securities Services for BNP Paribas in Switzerland

BNP Paribas has appointed Marco Citrini as Head of Securities Services Switzerland, which is an integral part of BNP Paribas’ Securities Services business, a leading global custodian with USD 17.5 trillion in assets under custody*. This appointment is part of a long-term succession planning as Marco succeeds Garrick Dean Smith who will now focus on expanding relationships with key Swiss institutional clients as Managing Director, Client Coverage Securities Services Switzerland. Marco will strive to reinforce our position as a leading provider of custodian and fund services in the country.

Marco Citrini brings more than three decades of financial industry experience, where he held several senior positions at American Express, Bank Leu, and ABN AMRO. He joined BNP Paribas in 2001, at the inception of Securities Services Switzerland, as the permanent employee No. 2 and has since played a decisive role in developing the business. Most recently, he served as Head of Client Line for Financial Intermediaries & Corporates and Deputy Branch Manager for Securities Services Switzerland.
