Appointment : Lionel Berthier new Chief Administration Officer

Lionel Berthier is appointed Chief Administration Officer (CAO) of BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA, and more particularly, he is in charge of Human Resources from 1st January 2018.

Lionel Berthier replaces Igor Joly who is fully devoted to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Switzerland as well as to the activity of the BNP Paribas Swiss Foundation, as its Managing Director.

Biography

Graduate from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, 56 years old, Lionel Berthier joined the Group in 1988 and has held various positions within the commercial network, in market activities, in subsidiaries and as part of General Management He joined the HR function in 2007, first in Paris as HR Business Partner in charge of commodities and trade finance activities, then in Brazil from 2011 to 2017, where he was successively Head of Individual Career Management, and finally as Head of Human Resources in Brazil, in charge of all Latin America region (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina). With his diverse experience in different professions and Human Resources, Lionel Berthier has a very eclectic career. Since January 1, Lionel Berthier is engaged particularly to support and implement the Group’s 2020 HR strategy within BNP Paribas in Switzerland: strengthen and intensify internal mobility, support employees in the new agile work methods by setting up the Home and Flex Office, bringing Human Resources closer to the problems of the business lines and functions.
